Our recent client Jeffrey has been boating his whole life but knew he needed to hone a few skills with is new purchase. He recently upgraded to a Formula 350 with twin I/Os and wanted to hire a captain to review all of his features as well as show him how to navigate around Southwest Florida.
Jeffrey was able to sneak his son along for the session, breaking it up for lunch at Cabbage Key and some beach time at Cayo Costa (marking waypoints and tracks in his GPS). It was a great day performing docking procedures, understanding ICW vs local waterway aids to navigation, joystick optimization, chart plotter review, proper VHF operation, twin engine operation, and many others. At the end of the day he was even happier with his new purchase and also created a father/son memory that will not soon be forgotten!
